Foxtel go app mac pro

I have a Telstra TBox Foxtel Subscription. I want to login to the Foxtel Go App on my MacOS laptop. I have logged in successfully once in September and once in October. After the first login the App tells me I can't login because I have exceeded the maximum number of 3 devices but I have not changed devices. About 18 months ago I downloaded the Foxtel Go app on my MacBook Pro. Ever since then, it has never been updated because it didn't come from the App Store, therefore I never got alerts for it like I do all my other apps. My question is does anyone know how updates work for apps not installed from the App Store? The Foxtel Now app is only available to Foxtel Now subscribers. Available for Jellybean 4.3 and above. Foxtel Go has been tested on a range of devices from leading manufacturers including Samsung, Sony, Acer, HTC, Motorola and LG. CNET Download provides free downloads for Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices across all categories of software and apps, including security, utilities, games, video and browsers.

Foxtel GO cannot be viewed on a VPN. If you’re using a VPN on your device, you’ll need to disable it to be able to view Foxtel GO. The rights and licensing agreements we have in place mean that the content on Foxtel GO can only be accessed within Australia. If you’re using a VPN, we can’t verify that you’re in Australia.

You can view your account balance and what packs you’re subscribed to in your My Account (Foxtel Now customers, click here).

The Foxtel GO app might not be able to stream due to slow internet speeds. To fix this issue:

  1. If you’re on WiFi, restart your modem.
  2. Restart the Foxtel GO app on your device (make sure the app isn’t running in the background).
  3. Restart your device.

If you’re still experiencing issues, test your internet speed at speedtest.net. To stream content on Foxtel GO your internet speed needs to be at least 3Mbps. If your speed is below 3Mbps and you’re:

  • on a WiFi network, note that multiple people using your WiFi network at once may slow down your network
  • on a mobile network, the signal may not be strong enough in that area.

If your speed is above 3Mbps, try uninstalling the Foxtel GO app and then re-installing it from the Google Play store or Apple App store.

THIS IS REPLY FROM FOXTEL AU......ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA??????

Many thanks for your email regarding your Mac and Foxtel Go.

If your Mac is using a newer OSX than 10.6 or 10.7 then we are unable to support the Foxtel Go application on your device. This is due to the way that the newer Mac operating systems have disabled Silverlight by default. That being said, customers have been successful in getting Foxtel Go to work by manually uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight. This is only a temporary solution however and your device will still run the risk of showing up an error message. Your device may also be treated as a duplicate according to Foxtel Go as Silverlight is required to ensure the app recognises the device. We understand you’d like to see the newer versions of the Mac operating system made compatible with Foxtel Go and have registered your feedback in regards to this with our online development team. In the event that Mac decides to re-enable Silverlight in future operating systems, this will assist with ensuring the app becomes compatible.
